From a young age I loved farming and knew that was where I wanted to be. There’s new challenges and something different every day.

It’s Farmer Friday! MEET Brady Norris from Rudall, EP.

For the past 10 years, Brady has worked alongside his Dad and brother to crop around 2200ha of wheat; half of their 4400ha of arable land. Located 10kms west of Rudall, the farm sees an average 330mm of rainfall a year.

From the time he took harvest leave during high school until his Agricultural studies at Cleve, Brady has grown up farming. What he appreciates most is that you’re not stuck doing the same job day in, day out.

“I can go from tractor driving to mechanic work. There’s something new every day.” he says.

Every farmer knows when times get tough, it’s the local community that pulls you through! Brady agrees, saying there’s a lot of support in being part of a small, tight-knit community. “I know everyone and can chat with like-minded people about different farming techniques.”
