I love to see the excitement and improvement in the agricultural industry. Each year you wanting to improve on maximising the efficiency and productivity of the farm, by the willingness to take on advice, employ new strategies and learn from past mistakes.

It's Farmer Friday! MEET Jarrad Schiller from Cowell, SA!

Jarrad grew up on his family's 3700-hectare broad-acre cropping and livestock farming enterprise north of Cowell on the Eyre Peninsula. "We are cropping roughly 2500 hectares a year of wheat, barley and lupins, at the moment running 600 self-replacing Merino ewes and 30 self-replacing Murray Grey cows. I try to get home as much as possible to help."
Jarrad is currently in his third year of studying a Bachelor of Agricultural Science. In the holidays coming up, he looks forward to doing some work experience for Cleve Rural Traders under a local Agronomist. "Once I complete my degree, I plan to find a role in the agricultural sector as an Agronomist. By completing work experience during my degree, it will give me a boost of knowledge and confidence when I enter the full time working sector."
